«No monte Mandara, Viśvakarman concedeu uma dádiva à minha mãe. Eu sou seu filho legítimo, e na arte sou semelhante a Viśvakarman».
"On the Mandara mountain Vishwakarma gave a boon to my mother. I am that Vishwakarma's own son, and I am like him at work by that cause. I have put in my memory all about the ocean. I am aware of the truth of the ocean. I could not speak of my qualities unless questioned. I can build a bridge over the abode of Varuna.Right away let the Vanara leaders get the material required for building the bridge (said Nala)."
Dharma is truthful self-presentation for service: Nala states his qualifications honestly so that the righteous work can proceed effectively.
Nala explains his origin and inherited skill to establish confidence in his ability to build the bridge.
Satya (truthfulness) and competence—he speaks factually about his capacity in order to accept duty.
