सागरप्रशमनम् / The Pacification of the Ocean and the Building of Nala’s Bridge
सबभूवतदाकूपोव्रणइत्येभिविश्रुतः ।सततंचोत्थितंतोयंसमुद्रस्येनदृश्यते ।।।।
sa babhūva tadā kūpo vraṇa ity ebhiḥ viśrutaḥ |
satataṃ cotthitaṃ toyaṃ samudrasyeva na dṛśyate ||
Então aquela cavidade passou a ser conhecida pelo nome de «Vraṇa» (“a Ferida”). E a água que dela se erguia continuamente via-se como a água do oceano.
That well (hole created by the dart) came to be known as Vrana. The water springing out of it forever is like sea water.
