Levando contigo tuas boas ações e tuas más ações, foste ao teu próprio fim. Aflita por tua destruição, lamento por mim mesma.
"You have taken away the good and evil deeds done by your death. I'm thinking of myself and wailing."
The verse underscores karma: each person departs bearing the consequences of their deeds; truthfully facing this law is aligned with Dharma.
Mandodarī reflects on Rāvaṇa’s death and recognizes that his deeds accompany him, while she remains to endure the aftermath.
Satya—clear-eyed truthfulness about karma and its consequences, even amid grief.
