The arrows released by both Rama and Ravana were without result. None failed to reach the target. None failed to complete the target. The arrows were colliding with one another and fell on the ground.
Righteous combat is portrayed as skillful and direct—actions are intentional (not random harm), even when the clash neutralizes outcomes.
Both sides’ arrows meet mid-course, cancel each other, and drop to the ground despite being well-aimed and powerful.
Martial proficiency and perseverance—neither combatant’s effort is careless or weak.
