न हिमेजीवितेनार्थस्सीतयाविजयनेवा ।।।।कोहिमेवदतेनार्धस्त्वयिपञ्चत्वमागते ।
na hi me jīvitena arthaḥ sītayā vijayena vā | ko hi me vadatena arthaḥ tvayi pañcatvam āgate ||
«Para mim, a própria vida não teria propósito—nem mesmo Sītā, nem a vitória—se tu tivesses caído na morte; que valor teria então qualquer palavra minha, se tivesses chegado ao fim?»
