सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
क्वासि गन्ता महाकाय क्षुधिताया ममेप्सितः।भक्षः प्रीणय मे देहं चिरमाहारवर्जितम्।।।।
kvāsi gantā mahākāya kṣudhitāyā mamepsitaḥ | bhakṣaḥ prīṇaya me dehaṃ ciram āhāravarjitam ||
«Para onde pensas que vais, ó de corpo imenso, presa desejada da minha fome? Torna-te meu alimento; sacia este meu corpo, há muito privado de sustento.»
'O huge monkey! where are you going? I am hungry since long. I am going without food and must eat you. Make me satisfied'.
