कर्तुमर्हसि रामस्य साहाय्यं विषये सती।अथवा मैथिलीं दृष्ट्वा रामं चाक्लिष्टकारिणम्।।।।आगमिष्यामि ते वक्त्रं सत्यं प्रतिशृणोमि ते।
kartum arhasi rāmasya sāhāyyaṃ viṣaye satī | athavā maithilīṃ dṛṣṭvā rāmaṃ cākliṣṭakāriṇam || āgamiṣyāmi te vaktraṃ satyaṃ pratiśṛṇomi te |
“Já que habitas no domínio de Rāma, é justo que prestes auxílio à causa de Rāma. Caso contrário, depois de ver Maithilī e relatar a Rāma —que age sem vacilar— voltarei e entrarei em tua boca; prometo-te isto como verdade.”
"I told her that it is proper for her (living in the domain of Rama) to help his queen and wife. Or else, I promised after I disclose to Rama, Sita's whereabouts, I will come and enter her mouth.
