O grande macaco viu alguns armados com lanças e até com árvores como armas; outros trazendo dardos e armas de arremesso, e outros com fundas e laços nas mãos.
The great monkey saw the demons who held shaktis and trees as weapons (Shakti is a lance), some held three-pointed spears, missiles and slings with which missiles are hurled. Some of them wore flower garlands, smeared unguents on their body and were bedecked with choicest ornaments. They were dressed in several ways and many of them moved freely. They were very strong and held sharp tridents and armed with thunderbolt-like weapons.
Dharma involves preparedness in the service of justice: recognizing the opponent’s means of violence helps the righteous side act responsibly and minimize harm while pursuing truth and rescue.
Hanumān observes the range of weapons carried by Laṅkā’s rākṣasas, showing the city’s readiness and ferocity.
Alertness and tactical awareness—he gathers intelligence rather than acting rashly.
