Sita Seen in the Ashoka Grove
She was like faith shattered, hope frustrated, desires blocked by obstacles, success vitiated, fame marred and intellect blurred.
The verse warns how adharma and oppression can damage inner supports (faith, hope, clarity). Dharma therefore includes protecting the vulnerable and restoring moral order.
Hanumān describes the psychological devastation visible in Sītā’s condition during confinement.
Moral sensitivity and empathy—Hanumān’s ability to read suffering and respond with righteous resolve.
