Recognition of Sītā’s Ornaments
हरता मैथिलीं येन मां च रोषयता भृशम्।आत्मनो जीवितान्ताय मृत्युद्वारमपावृतम्4.6.26।।
haratā maithilīṃ yena māṃ ca roṣayatā bhṛśam |
ātmano jīvitāntāya mṛtyu-dvāram apāvṛtam || 4.6.26 ||
Ao raptar Maithilī e provocar tão intensamente a minha ira, ele abriu para si a porta da morte, levando a própria vida ao fim.
'Let me know where dwells that huge ogre who has caused this agony to me. I will exterminate all the demons;
Actions have moral consequences: violating dharma through abduction and violence invites rightful punishment; Rama’s wrath is presented as justice against adharma.
Rama declares that the abductor, by his crime, has effectively sealed his own fate.
Rama’s uncompromising commitment to justice and protection, characteristic of a righteous ruler/warrior.
