एष कालात्ययस्तावदिति कालविदां वरः।।।।एतमर्थं समग्रं मे सुपार्श्वः प्रत्यवेदयत्।
eṣa kālātyayas tāvad iti kāla-vidāṁ varaḥ | etam arthaṁ samagraṁ me supārśvaḥ pratyavedayat ||
«Eis, então, a razão do atraso», disse Supārśva, o melhor entre os que conhecem o valor do tempo, e relatou-me por inteiro toda a questão.
