शार्दूलमृगसङ्घुष्टं सिंहैर्भीमरवैर्वृतम्।नानागुल्मलतागूढं बहुपादपसङ्कुलम्4.27.2।।ऋक्षवानरगोपुच्छैर्मार्जारैश्च निषेवितम्।मेघराशिनिभं शैलं नित्यं शुचिजलाशयम्।।4.27.3।।

Transliteration

śārdūla-mṛga-saṅghuṣṭaṃ siṃhair bhīma-ravair vṛtam |

nānā-gulma-latā-gūḍhaṃ bahu-pādapa-saṅkulam || 4.27.2 ||

ṛkṣa-vānara-gopucchair mārjāraiś ca niṣevitam |

megha-rāśi-nibhaṃ śailaṃ nityaṃ śuci-jalāśayam || 4.27.3 ||

Translation

Esta montanha ressoa com os brados de tigres e cervos, e é cercada por leões de rugidos terríveis. Oculta-se sob variados arbustos e trepadeiras, e está repleta de numerosas árvores. É frequentada por ursos, macacos, langures e gatos selvagens; parece um amontoado de nuvens e guarda sempre poças de água pura.
