Passado algum tempo, ao sábio rei Kūśanābha nasceu um filho de retidão suprema, conhecido pelo nome de Gādhi.
In this way, adored by the best of ascetics, the auspicious son of Kusika, went to sleep like the lustrous Sun setting.
Righteousness is portrayed as the highest marker of nobility: the worth of an heir is measured by dharma, not merely by birth.
Viśvāmitra identifies Gādhi as the son of Kūśanābha, establishing the ancestral link leading to his own Kauśika identity.
Paramadharmitva—exemplary righteousness—is emphasized as Gādhi’s defining quality.
