Transliteration

taṃ tu pūrvoditaṃ vṛddhaṃ dvārasthā rājasammatam |

na śekur abhisaṃroddhuṃ rājñaḥ priyacikīrṣavaḥ ||

Translation

Mas os porteiros—bem-intencionados e devotados ao que era querido ao rei—não puderam deter o ancião Sumantra, que chegara antes e era estimado pelo soberano.
