Kaikeyi’s Demand and the Noose of the King’s Promise
Hasten the maharaja as Rama has to be installed in the kingdom as soon as the day breaks under the conjunction of the sacred Pushya star.
Dharma includes timely action aligned with righteous intention: the king is urged to act promptly so the legitimate succession occurs under sanctioned auspicious conditions.
The preceptor presses Daśaratha to proceed quickly so Rama’s coronation can occur at daybreak during the Puṣya constellation.
Decisiveness in duty—swift execution of a rightful plan, rather than delay that could invite disorder.
