शबरी-आश्रम-प्रवेशः
Rama and Lakshmana at Sabari’s Hermitage
इत्युक्ता जटिला वृद्धा चीरकृष्णाजिनाम्बरा।तस्मिन्मुहूर्ते शबरी देहं जीर्णं जिहासती।।।।अनुज्ञाता तु रामेण हुत्वात्मानं हुताशने।ज्वलत्पावकसङ्काशा स्वर्गमेव जगाम सा।।।।
ity uktā jaṭilā vṛddhā cīrakṛṣṇājināmbarā | tasmin muhūrte śabarī dehaṃ jīrṇaṃ jihāsatī ||
Assim interpelada, Śabarī—uma anciã de cabelos emaranhados, vestida de casca de árvore e de uma pele escura de veado—naquele mesmo instante desejou abandonar seu corpo gasto.
On seeing them both, Sabari, an accomplished ascetic, got up with folded hands andtouched the feet of the sagacious Rama and Lakshmana.
