इति विलपति राघवे सुदीने वनमुपगम्य तया विना सुकेश्या।भयविकलमुखस्तु लक्ष्मणोऽपि व्यथितमना भृशमातुरो बभूव।।3.62.21।।
iti vilapati rāghave sudīne vanam upagamya tayā vinā sukeśyā | bhaya-vikala-mukhas tu lakṣmaṇo 'pi vyathita-manā bhṛśam āturo babhūva || 3.62.21 ||
Assim, naquela hora miserável, Rāghava lamentava-se; e, ao adentrar a floresta sem a dama de belos cabelos, Lakṣmaṇa também—com o rosto abalado pelo medo—ficou profundamente aflito e extremamente agitado.
