Nārada

Concept: Smaraṇa (remembrance) of a pure sacred form—here Oṃkāra-liṅga—destroys pāpa and turns the mind toward liberation.

Application: Adopt daily ‘smaraṇa’: brief morning recollection of a sacred form (liṅga/Viṣṇu-mūrti), paired with repentance and resolve; use ‘Oṃ’ as a centering seed before japa.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Type: temple

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"Inside a small Kāśī shrine, the Oṃkāra-liṅga rises from a polished yoni-pīṭha, its surface subtly inscribed with the praṇava. Nārada stands to one side with vīṇā, eyes half-closed, as a wave of luminous syllables ‘Oṃ’ spirals upward like incense, washing the space in purity.","primary_figures":["Nārada","Oṃkāra-liṅga","devotees (silhouetted)"],"setting":"Intimate stone sanctum in Vārāṇasī; oil lamps, bilva leaves, water pot, faint Gaṅgā breeze through a lattice.","lighting_mood":"temple lamp-lit","color_palette":["lamp amber","basalt black","sandalwood beige","emerald (bilva)","pearl white"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: Nārada with vīṇā beside the Oṃkāra-liṅga in a sanctum; gold leaf radiance forming the praṇava above the liṅga; rich reds/greens in drapery, gem-like lamp flames, ornate arch with embossed gold, traditional iconographic clarity.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: delicate interior shrine scene; soft lamplight, fine detailing on stone textures and offerings; Nārada’s serene face, vīṇā rendered with precision; a subtle translucent ‘Oṃ’ spiral rising, minimal yet poetic.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlined Nārada with characteristic eyes, vīṇā across the torso; central liṅga with stylized praṇava; flat yet vibrant pigments, decorative borders of lotus and bilva; warm reds/yellows with deep black stone.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central black liṅga framed by an ornate floral arch; repeated praṇava motifs in the border; hanging lamps, peacocks perched on the arch; deep indigo background with gold highlights, devotional symmetry, intricate patterns."}
