ईश्वर उवाच । गच्छ नारद तत्रैव यत्र तत्त्रिपुरं पुरम् । बाणस्य दानवेन्द्रस्य शीघ्रं गच्छाथ तत्कुरु
īśvara uvāca | gaccha nārada tatraiva yatra tattripuraṃ puram | bāṇasya dānavendrasya śīghraṃ gacchātha tatkuru
Īśvara disse: «Vai, Nārada, exatamente àquele lugar onde está a cidade de Tripura. Vai depressa à cidade de Bāṇa, senhor entre os Dānavas, e realiza isso».

Nārada is commanded to go quickly to the location of Tripura—the city associated here with Bāṇa, the leader of the Dānavas—and to carry out the intended task.
