किं करिष्यामि राज्यं च किं स्यादाराधनेन तु । द्विजा ऊचुः । अत्र स्थित्वा स्वराज्ये तु समुपास्य विरोचनं
kiṃ kariṣyāmi rājyaṃ ca kiṃ syādārādhanena tu | dvijā ūcuḥ | atra sthitvā svarājye tu samupāsya virocanaṃ
«Que farei eu com um reino? E que se ganharia sequer com a adoração?» Disseram os brāhmaṇas: «Permanece aqui, no teu próprio reino, e adora devidamente Virocana.»
