yajñaniṣpattaye sarvametadbrahmā cakāra ha | cāturvarṇyaṃ mahārāja yajñasādhanamuttamam

Concept: Cāturvarṇya is instituted to enable yajña—coordinated action that sustains cosmic and social welfare.

Application: Organize life by roles and responsibilities that support collective good; convert work into ‘offering’ through integrity, gratitude, and devotion.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A grand Vedic sacrificial arena is arranged like a mandala: four groups stand at their stations, each contributing—chants from the east, protection and order from the south, provisions from the west, and service from the north—while the central fire rises as a golden pillar connecting earth to heaven. Brahmā is shown as the institutor, but the fire subtly reveals the form of Yajña-Nārāyaṇa within its flames.","primary_figures":["Brahmā","Vedic priests (ṛtviks)","representatives of the four varṇas","Agni (sacrificial fire)","subtle Yajña-Nārāyaṇa presence"],"setting":"Vedic yajña-śālā with altars, kuśa grass, ladles, soma vessels; celestial beings faintly visible above.","lighting_mood":"temple lamp-lit","color_palette":["fire-gold","sandalwood beige","copper bronze","sacred ash white","peacock blue"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: central blazing yajña-kuṇḍa with gold leaf flames, Brahmā presiding with ornate crown, four varṇa groups symmetrically placed; rich reds/greens, embossed gold borders, gem-studded ornaments, and a faint Viṣṇu silhouette within the fire rendered in luminous gold.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: intimate yajña scene with delicate brushwork, soft firelight, refined faces of priests and attendants; cool background with warm fire core, subtle celestial onlookers in pale washes, lyrical naturalism in ritual objects.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines, stylized yajña-altar and Agni, Brahmā and attendants in traditional mural proportions; dominant reds/yellows/greens, rhythmic composition like a temple wall panel, with symbolic Viṣṇu form hinted in the flame pattern.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central fire altar framed by lotus borders, decorative motifs of conch and discus in corners; deep blue ground with gold and vermillion highlights, symmetrical arrangement of ritual participants, intricate floral and geometric borders."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"meditative","suggested_raga":"Durga","pace":"slow-meditative","voice_tone":"reverent-soft","sound_elements":["crackling fire","Vedic chant undertone","gentle bell","tanpura drone","brief silence after key words"]}

FAQs

It presents Brahmā as instituting social organization (cāturvarṇya) as a practical framework to support and successfully complete Vedic sacrificial duties (yajña).

No. The focus is on ritual order and social structuring for the performance of yajña, not on pilgrimage sites or sacred landscapes.

The verse implies that dharma is sustained through well-ordered duties and cooperative roles oriented toward sacred responsibility—here, the orderly performance of yajña.
