अन्यथा ब्रह्मतनये स्नानं तत्र न शस्यते । कृत्वा चाब्दैवतैमत्रैरभिषेकं च मार्जनम् ॥ ५५ ॥
anyathā brahmatanaye snānaṃ tatra na śasyate | kṛtvā cābdaivataimatrairabhiṣekaṃ ca mārjanam || 55 ||
De outro modo, ó filho de Brahmā, não se recomenda banhar-se ali. Deve-se primeiro realizar a ablução e a purificação — o abhiṣeka (banho de unção) e o mārjana (limpeza) — com mantras dirigidos às divindades do ano.
