The Procedure for Offering Piṇḍa (Funerary Rice-balls) — Gayā-māhātmya
स्नात्वा तेषु विधानेन कुर्याच्छ्राद्धं पृथक् पृथक् । दिबाकर करोमीह स्नानं दक्षिणमानसे ॥ ७८ ॥
snātvā teṣu vidhānena kuryācchrāddhaṃ pṛthak pṛthak | dibākara karomīha snānaṃ dakṣiṇamānase || 78 ||
Tendo-se banhado naqueles lugares sagrados segundo o rito prescrito, deve-se realizar o śrāddha separadamente em cada um. «Ó Divākara (o Sol), aqui empreendo o banho sagrado, com a mente voltada para o quadrante do Sul.»
