Gaṅgā-māhātmya
य इच्छेत्सफलं जन्म संततिं वा शुभानने । स पितॄंस्तर्पयेद्गंगामभिगम्य सुरांस्तथा ॥ ७ ॥
ya icchetsaphalaṃ janma saṃtatiṃ vā śubhānane | sa pitṝṃstarpayedgaṃgāmabhigamya surāṃstathā || 7 ||
Ó formosa de rosto, quem desejar uma vida frutífera ou descendência deve ir ao Gaṅgā, oferecer libações aos Pitṛs e, do mesmo modo, fazer oferendas aos deuses.
