Kuru-Sainika-Āśvāsana and Vijayaghoṣaṇa
Reassuring the Kuru Soldiers; Proclaiming Victory
दर्शयित्वा तथा5>त्मानं रौद्रं रुद्रपराक्रम: । अवरुद्धोड्चरत् पार्थों वर्षाणि त्रिदशानि च | क्रोधाग्निमुत्सूजन् वीरो धार्तराष्ट्रेषु पाण्डव:
darśayitvā tathātmānaṃ raudraṃ rudra-parākramaḥ | avaruddho 'carat pārtho varṣāṇi tridaśāni ca || krodhāgnim utsṛjan vīro dhārtarāṣṭreṣu pāṇḍavaḥ ||
Disse Vaiśampāyana: Tendo assim revelado sua forma feroz—poderosa como Rudra—Pārtha (Arjuna), embora constrangido, atravessara treze anos. Agora, surgida a ocasião adequada, o herói Pāṇḍava começou a percorrer o campo, derramando o fogo de sua ira sobre os filhos de Dhṛtarāṣṭra e tornando manifesta sua terrível potência.
