Chapter 58: Arjuna’s Deployment of the Indra-Weapon
प्रमाथिनं महावीर्य दृढमुष्टिं दुरासदम् । जेतारं देवदैत्यानां सर्वेषां च महारथम्,इसी समय आचार्य द्रोणकी प्रशंसा करनेवाले देवताओंका यह शब्द आकाशमें गूँज उठा--'अहो! द्रोणाचार्यने बड़ा दुष्कर कार्य किया कि अबतक अर्जुनके साथ युद्धमें डटे रह गये। ये अर्जुन तो शत्रुओंको मथ डालनेवाले, महापराक्रमी, दृढ़ मुष्टिवाले, दुर्धर्ष तथा सम्पूर्ण देवताओं और दैत्योंको जीतनेवाले महारथी वीर हैं"
pramāthinaṁ mahāvīryaṁ dṛḍhamuṣṭiṁ durāsadam | jetāraṁ devadaityānāṁ sarveṣāṁ ca mahāratham ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: “(Arjuna é) esmagador de inimigos, de grande poder heroico, de punho firme e inacessível — conquistador de todos os deuses e Dānavas, e um grande guerreiro de carro.” Nesse momento, as palavras dos deuses, louvando Droṇa, ressoaram no céu: “Ah! Droṇācārya realizou um feito dificílimo, pois permaneceu firme em batalha contra Arjuna por tanto tempo. Este Arjuna é um herói que tritura os inimigos, supremamente valente, de punho duro, irresistível, e um mahāratha capaz de vencer até deuses e demônios.”
