Chapter 58: Arjuna’s Deployment of the Indra-Weapon
दीर्घबाहुर्महातेजा बलरूपसमन्वित: । सर्वलोकेषु विक्रान्तो भारद्वाज: प्रतापवान्
arjuna uvāca |
dīrghabāhur mahātejā balarūpasamanvitaḥ |
sarvalokeṣu vikrānto bhāradvājaḥ pratāpavān |
Arjuna disse: “De longos braços, radiante de grande esplendor, dotado de força e nobre presença, célebre por sua proeza em todos os mundos—este é o poderoso Bhāradvāja (Droṇa), herói de valor formidável.” No quadro ético da epopeia, as palavras de Arjuna reconhecem a excelência e a autoridade marcial mesmo no adversário, refletindo o ideal kṣatriya de honrar mérito e poder enquanto se prepara para as exigências do conflito.
