Chapter 58: Arjuna’s Deployment of the Indra-Weapon
तमापततन्तं वेगेन पाण्डवं रथिनां वरम् | द्रोण: प्रत्युद्ययौ पार्थ मत्तो मत्तमिव द्विपम्
tam āpatatantaṁ vegena pāṇḍavaṁ rathināṁ varam | droṇaḥ pratyudyayau pārtha matto mattam iva dvipam ||
Disse Vaiśampāyana: Ao ver Arjuna, o Pāṇḍava—o mais eminente entre os guerreiros de carro—avançar contra ele com grande velocidade, Droṇa adiantou-se para enfrentar Pārtha. Era como um senhor dos elefantes, embriagado de fúria, correndo para chocar-se com outro elefante igualmente enfurecido, imagem de forças equivalentes e do ímpeto feroz da batalha.
