Dhaumya’s Counsel on Incognito Conduct in a Royal Household (राजवसतौ आचरण-निति)
राजानं राजपुत्रं वा संवर्णयति य: सदा | अमात्य: पण्डितो भूत्वा स चिरं तिष्ठते प्रिय:,जो बुद्धिमान सचिव सदा राजा अथवा राजकुमारकी प्रशंसा करता रहता है, वही राजाके यहाँ उसका प्रीतिपात्र होकर दीर्घकालतक टिक सकता है
rājānaṃ rājaputraṃ vā saṃvarṇayati yaḥ sadā | amātyaḥ paṇḍito bhūtvā sa ciraṃ tiṣṭhate priyaḥ ||
Dhaumya disse: “O ministro que, sendo sábio, fala continuamente em louvor do rei—ou do filho do rei—passa por homem de entendimento; e, permanecendo querido ao soberano, consegue perdurar e manter seu posto por muito tempo.”
