इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत विराटप्वके अन्तर्गत गोहरणपर्वमें उत्तर दिशासे गौओंके अपहरण के प्रसंगमें उत्तरके आश्वासनसे सम्बन्ध रखनेवाला अड़तीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
Iti prakāraṃ Śrīmahābhārate Virāṭaparvaṇi antargate Goharaṇaparvaṇi uttaradiśaḥ gāvo'pakaraṇaprasange Uttarasya āśvāsanena sambandhaṃ rakṣamāṇaḥ aṣṭatriṃśattamo'dhyāyaḥ samāptaḥ.
Assim, no Śrī Mahābhārata, dentro do Virāṭa Parva—mais precisamente no subepisódio Goharaṇa (a incursão do gado)—sobre o episódio em que as vacas foram levadas para o norte e ligado ao encorajamento do príncipe Uttara, chega ao fim o trigésimo oitavo capítulo.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
