Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 13 — Kīcaka’s Proposition and Draupadī’s Dharmic Refusal
प्रकर्षणाकर्षणयोरभ्याकर्षविकर्षणै:* | आकर्षतुरथान्योन्यं जानुभिश्चापि जघ्नतु:
prakarṣaṇākarṣaṇayor abhyākarṣavikarṣaṇaiḥ | ākarṣatur athānyonyaṃ jānubhiś cāpi jaghnatuḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: Na luta de puxar e repuxar — cada um arrastando e torcendo o outro — aproximaram-se à força, e chegaram até a golpear-se com os joelhos. A cena retrata um confronto físico cru, em que a força substitui a contenção, mostrando como o orgulho e a rivalidade podem levar os homens a uma violência cada vez mais intensa.
