अगस्त्यस्य वित्तयाचनं तथा इल्वलोपभिक्षणनिर्णयः
Agastya’s request for wealth and the decision to seek resources from Ilvala
ततः प्रसवसंतानं चिन्तयन् भगवानृषि: । आत्मन: प्रसवस्यार्थे नापश्यत् सदृशीं स्त्रियम्,तब भगवान् महर्षि अगस्त्यने संतानोत्पादनकी चिन्ता करते हुए अपने अनुरूप संतानको गर्भमें धारण करनेके लिये योग्य पत्नीका अनुसंधान किया, परंतु उन्हें कोई योग्य स्त्री दिखायी नहीं दी
tataḥ prasava-santānaṁ cintayan bhagavān ṛṣiḥ | ātmanaḥ prasavasyārthe nāpaśyat sadṛśīṁ striyam ||
Então o sábio abençoado, refletindo sobre a procriação e a continuidade de sua linhagem, buscou uma esposa apta a gerar um filho digno de si; mas não encontrou mulher alguma que lhe fosse igual e adequada a tal propósito.
