युधिष्ठिरस्य अर्जुनप्रेषण-युक्तिवर्णनम् | Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rationale for Sending Arjuna and Request to Dhaumya
तत्रोष्य रजनीमेकां स्वर्गलोके महीयते । वहीं विमलाशोक नामक उत्तम तीर्थ है, वहाँ जाकर ब्रह्मचर्यपालनपूर्वक एकाग्रचित्त हो एक रात निवास करनेसे मनुष्य स्वर्गलोकमें प्रतिष्ठित होता है ।। गोप्रतारं ततो गच्छेत् सरस्वास्तीर्थमुत्तमम्,वहाँसे सरयूके उत्तम तीर्थ गोप्रतारमें जाय। महाराज! वहाँ अपने सेवकों, सैनिकों और वाहनोंके साथ गोते लगाकर उस तीर्थके प्रभावसे वे वीर श्रीरामचन्द्रजी अपने नित्यधामको पधारे थे
tatroṣya rajanīm ekāṁ svargaloke mahīyate | goprātāraṁ tato gacchet sarasyās tīrtham uttamam |
Tendo ali permanecido por uma única noite, a pessoa é honrada e estabelecida no mundo do céu. De lá deve-se seguir para Goprātāra, um excelente vau sagrado associado a Sarasvatī. Ó grande rei, foi pelo poder santificador desse tīrtha que o herói Śrī Rāmacandra, com seus servidores, guerreiros e veículos, mergulhou em suas águas e alcançou sua morada eterna.
घुलस्त्य उवाच
The verse teaches that disciplined restraint and single-pointedness, when joined to reverent observance at a sacred place, purify a person and are said to lead to honor and establishment in heaven; it frames pilgrimage as an ethical-spiritual practice rather than mere travel.
The speaker continues a tīrtha-māhātmya sequence, stating the fruit of staying one night at a particular holy spot and then instructing the listener to proceed next to the sacred ford called Goprātāra, praised as an excellent tīrtha connected with the Sarasvatī.
