Educational Q&A

The verse elevates disciplined brahmacarya and mental concentration, presenting pilgrimage undertaken with inner restraint as capable of granting merit comparable to the highest Vedic sacrifice, and promising an exalted posthumous destination (Somaloka).

The speaker gives prescriptive guidance: a brahmacārin, composed and focused, should go to Brahmāvarta; the act is said to confer Aśvamedha-like merit and lead the practitioner to Somaloka.
