युधिष्ठिरस्य अर्जुनप्रेषण-युक्तिवर्णनम् | Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rationale for Sending Arjuna and Request to Dhaumya
तेन तीर्थ कृतं पुण्यं स्वेन नाम्ना च विश्रुतम् । तत्र स्नात्वा नरो राजन् धर्मशील: समाहितः
tena tīrthaṃ kṛtaṃ puṇyaṃ svena nāmnā ca viśrutam | tatra snātvā naro rājan dharmaśīlaḥ samāhitaḥ ||
Por ele foi estabelecido um tīrtha sagrado, santo e célebre pelo seu próprio nome. Ó rei, aquele que ali se banha, firme no dharma e com a mente recolhida, torna-se sólido na retidão e sereno por dentro.
घुलस्त्य उवाच
The verse links outer ritual (bathing at a tīrtha) with inner ethics: true benefit is framed as becoming dharma-minded and mentally composed, not merely performing an act.
