युधिष्ठिरस्य अर्जुनप्रेषण-युक्तिवर्णनम् | Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rationale for Sending Arjuna and Request to Dhaumya
प्राइनदीतीर्थमें जानेसे द्विज कृतार्थ हो जाता है। वह सब पापोंसे शुद्धचित्त होकर इन्द्रलोकमें जाता है ।। ऋषभद्दीपमासाद्य मेध्यं क्रौड्चनिष्दनम् । सरस्वत्यामुपस्पृश्य विमानस्थो विराजते,तीर्थसेवी मनुष्य पवित्र ऋषभद्वीप और क्रौज्चनिषूदनतीर्थमें जाकर सरस्वतीमें स्नान करनेसे विमानपर विराजमान होता है
ṛṣabhadvīpam āsādya medhyaṃ krauñcanisūdanam | sarasvatyām upaspṛśya vimānastho virājate || tīrthasevī manuṣyaḥ pavitraṃ ṛṣabhadvīpaṃ ca krauñcanisūdanatīrthaṃ ca gatvā sarasvatyāṃ snānena vimāne virājate |
Ao ir ao tīrtha do rio Prāyaṇa, o dvija vê seu intento cumprido; com a mente purificada de todos os pecados, ele vai ao mundo de Indra. E o devoto dos tīrthas, ao alcançar a ilha pura chamada Ṛṣabhadvīpa e o vau santificador conhecido como Krauñca-nisūdana, e ao banhar-se ali no Sarasvatī, resplandece como quem se assenta num carro celestial.
घुलस्त्य उवाच
The verse teaches that sincere pilgrimage and ritual purification at revered tīrthas cleanse sin and elevate the practitioner, symbolized by attaining a heavenly vimāna. Ethical emphasis lies on inner purification and disciplined devotion expressed through sacred travel.
