ततो मचक्रुकं नाम द्वारपालं महाबलम् | यक्षं समभिवाद्यैव गोसहस्रफलं लभेत्,तदनन्तर, वहाँ मचक्कुक नामवाले द्वारपाल महाबली यक्षको नमस्कार करनेमात्रसे सहस्र गोदानका फल मिल जाता है
tato macakrukaṃ nāma dvārapālaṃ mahābalam | yakṣaṃ samabhivādyaiva gosahasraphalaṃ labhet |
Então, ao saudar com reverência o poderoso Yakṣa guardião do portal chamado Macakruka, obtém-se o mérito equivalente a mil doações de vacas.
घुलस्त्य उवाच
Respectful salutation offered to a worthy guardian is itself a dharmic act that yields great merit; inner humility and proper reverence are presented as powerful sources of puṇya, comparable to major charitable gifts.
