Pulastya’s Instruction
तिस््र: कोट्यस्तु तीर्थानां सरके कुरुनन्दन,कुरुनन्दन! सरकमें तीन करोड़ तीर्थ हैं
tisraḥ koṭyas tu tīrthānāṁ sarake kurunandana
Ghūlastya disse: “Ó Kurunandana, em Saraka há três koṭi—trinta milhões—de tīrtha, vaus sagrados de peregrinação.”
घुलस्त्य उवाच
The verse emphasizes the vastness and sanctity of tīrthas, implying that pilgrimage and reverence for sacred places are traditional means to cultivate purity, merit, and dharmic orientation.
Ghūlastya addresses the Kuru prince (Kurunandana) while describing the sacred landscape, highlighting Saraka as a place containing an immense number of pilgrimage sites.
