Educational Q&A

Pilgrimage and ritual bathing at a revered tīrtha, undertaken with devotion and in an auspicious time, are presented as means of inner purification (freedom from sin) and the accumulation of merit leading to exalted spiritual attainment (Brahmaloka).

The speaker directs the king to proceed next to the famous Sarasvatī confluence tīrtha, describes its divine and ascetic worship of Keśava, notes the special observance on Caitra bright-fortnight caturdaśī, and states the fruits of bathing there—material gain (gold) and ultimate heavenly ascent to Brahmaloka.
