The verse highlights the ethical and devotional idea that the favor (prasāda) of a revered, virtuous person is itself the completion of one’s aim—success is grounded in humility, reverence, and the blessing of the righteous rather than mere personal effort.
Vaiśampāyana addresses an exalted, widely revered figure, saying that once this person is pleased, he considers his task accomplished, attributing fulfillment to the other’s gracious favor.
