gṛhān upayayau cāpi kṛtārthaḥ su-mahāmanāḥ | damayantīke evaṃ kahane para atyanta udāra-hṛdayavāle parṇādaḥ sva-parama-maṅgalamaya āśīrvādaiḥ tām āśvāsya kṛtārthaḥ san sva-gṛhaṃ jagāma ||
Disse Bṛhadaśva: Quando isso foi dito a Damayantī, o magnânimo Parṇāda a consolou com bênçãos supremamente auspiciosas. E, tendo cumprido o seu intento, partiu e retornou ao seu lar.
बृहदश्च उवाच
A dharmic guide offers reassurance and auspicious counsel to one in distress, then departs without attachment or expectation—compassionate action combined with humility and non-possessiveness.
After Damayantī speaks (or after something is said to her), Parṇāda—described as noble-hearted—consoles her with blessings. Having completed his role, he leaves and returns home, while Bṛhadaśva narrates this to the listener.
