Nala as Bāhuka enters Ṛtuparṇa’s city
सा गत्वा त्रीनहोरात्रान् ददर्श परमाड़ना । तापसारण्यमतुलं दिव्यकाननशोभितम्,लगातार तीन दिन और तीन रात चलनेके पश्चात् उस श्रेष्ठ नारीने तपस्वियोंसे युक्त एक वन देखा, जो अनुपम तथा दिव्य वनसे सुशोभित था
sā gatvā trīn ahorātrān dadarśa paramāṅganā | tāpasāraṇyam atulaṁ divyakānanaśobhitam ||
Depois de viajar por três dias e três noites, aquela nobre senhora avistou um eremitério na floresta, incomparável, habitado por ascetas e embelezado por um bosque de esplendor celestial.
बृहृदश्च उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical symbolism of approaching an āśrama: after endurance and sustained effort (three days and nights), one reaches a realm governed by tapas and restraint, suggesting that moral support and clarity are found through disciplined environments and the company of the virtuous.
A noble woman, after traveling continuously for three full day-night cycles, arrives at and sees an incomparable forest hermitage populated by ascetics, described as splendid and beautified like a divine woodland.
