Karkoṭaka’s Counsel and Nala’s Concealment
बह ब स्तर कम त्यपस त्ज््द्धच || कट ;र इति श्रीमहाभारते वनपर्वणि नलोपाख्यानपर्वणि अजगरग्रस्तदमयन्तीमोचने त्रिषपष्टितमोड ध्याय:,इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत नलोपाख्यानपर्वमें अजगरग्रस्तदमयन्तीमोचनविषयक तिरसठवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
bṛhadaśva uvāca | iti śrīmahābhārate vanaparvaṇi nalopākhyānaparvaṇi ajagaragrastadamayantīmocane triṣaṣṭitamo 'dhyāyaḥ |
Disse Bṛhadaśva: “Assim termina o sexagésimo terceiro capítulo do episódio de Nala, dentro do Vana Parva do Mahābhārata, descrevendo o resgate de Damayantī quando fora tomada pela grande serpente (ajagara).”
ब॒हृदश्चव उवाच
Even amid forest hardships and sudden danger, dharma expresses itself as protection, timely help, and the restoration of order; the colophon underscores that the episode’s moral arc is toward rescue and re-establishing safety.
This is the chapter-ending colophon stating that the sixty-third chapter of the Nalopākhyāna in the Vana Parva has concluded, specifically the section about Damayantī’s deliverance after being seized by a great serpent (ajagara).
