Educational Q&A

Restrain impulse and respect rightful claim; access to a desired good (even water in distress) is conditioned by dharma—here, obedience to a moral/intellectual test rather than force.

At the forest lake, the Yaksha forbids Bhima from drinking, asserting prior ownership and demanding answers to questions first; the episode sets up the famous Yaksha-prashna trial of the Pāṇḍavas.
