तांश्वैवानय भद्ठरें ते पानीयं च त्वमानय । तब कुन्तीकुमार युधिष्ठिरने भीमसेनसे कहा--“परंतप! भरतनन्दन! नकुल, सहदेव और अर्जुनको पानीके लिये गये बहुत देर हो गयी। वे अभीतक नहीं आ रहे हैं। तुम्हारा कल्याण हो। तुम जाकर उन्हें बुला लाओ और पानी भी ले आओ” ।। ३३-३४ $ ।। भीमसेनस्तथेत्युक्त्वा त॑ देशं प्रत्यपद्यत
yakṣa uvāca | tāṁś caivānaya bhadraṁ te pānīyaṁ ca tvam ānaya | bhīmasenas tathety uktvā taṁ deśaṁ pratyapadyata |
Disse o Yakṣa: “Traz-os aqui; que o bem te assista. E tu mesmo traz também água.” Assim instruído, Bhīmasena respondeu: “Assim seja”, e partiu em direção àquele lugar. No contexto narrativo, Yudhiṣṭhira—preocupado porque Nakula, Sahadeva e Arjuna demoravam demais na busca de água—envia Bhīma para chamá-los de volta e trazer água, ressaltando a liderança responsável e o cuidado pelos companheiros mesmo em meio à adversidade.
यक्ष उवाच
Even in crisis, a leader must act with care for companions and with disciplined obedience to proper instruction. The benediction “bhadraṁ te” frames the command ethically—action should be purposeful, restrained, and oriented toward the welfare of the group.
After the other brothers have gone to find water and do not return, Yudhishthira sends Bhima to bring them back and fetch water. At the lake, the Yaksha issues a directive—bring the others and bring water—after which Bhima sets off toward the indicated place.
