ततः सा व्रीडिता बाला तदा सूर्यमथाब्रवीत् । एवमस्त्विति राजेन्द्र प्रस्थितं भूरिवर्चसम्,राजेन्द्र! तब संगमके लिये उद्यत हुए महातेजस्वी सूर्यदेवकी ओर देखकर लज्जित हुई उस राजकन्याने उनसे कहा--'प्रभो! ऐसा ही हो”
tataḥ sā vrīḍitā bālā tadā sūryam athābravīt | evam astv iti rājendra prasthitaṃ bhūrivarcasam ||
Então a jovem donzela, tomada pelo pudor, falou a Sūrya: «Assim seja, ó senhor». Dizendo isso, voltou o olhar para o radiante deus Sol, que já se pusera a caminho, pronto para a união entre ambos — seu assentimento, dado com recato e contenção, era um consentimento decisivo, destinado a moldar as consequências morais e familiares que viriam.
