E, a toda hora, a jovem o honrava com oferendas de comida e bebida, com pouso e hospitalidade — sempre aumentando, dia após dia, além do que antes lhe oferecera.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores atithi-dharma: a guest should be honored with food, drink, and shelter, offered with respect and attentiveness. The maiden’s ever-increasing provisions model generosity and sustained care rather than minimal or reluctant giving.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that a maiden continually serves and honors a man/guest at all times, providing him with meals and lodging, and each day she increases the quantity and quality of what she offers.
