Disse Vaiśampāyana: “Ó Pṛthā, nasceste numa linhagem real, e tua beleza também é extraordinária. Em consonância com esse nascimento nobre e essa forma, és dotada de excelência—tens bom caráter e reta conduta, és rica em virtudes e, além disso, ponderada e discernente.”

Noble birth and outward excellence are presented as meaningful when matched by inner virtues—good character, right conduct, and thoughtful discernment. The verse links social status to ethical responsibility and cultivated qualities.
Vaiśampāyana addresses Pṛthā (Kuntī) with respectful praise, highlighting her royal origin, remarkable beauty, and—more importantly—her moral and intellectual qualities, framing her as naturally suited to virtuous conduct.
