संदेष्टव्यां तु मन्ये त्वां द्विजातिं कोपन प्रति । पृथे बालेति कृत्वा वै सुता चासि ममेति च,“तथापि पृथे! तुम अभी बालिका और मेरी पुत्री हो, इसलिये इन क्रोधी ब्राह्मणके प्रति बर्ताव करनेके विषयमें तुम्हें कुछ उपदेश देनेकी आवश्यकताका अनुभव मैं करता हूँ

Transliteration

sandeṣṭavyāṃ tu manye tvāṃ dvijātiṃ kopanaṃ prati | pṛthe bāleti kṛtvā vai sutā cāsi mameti ca ||

Translation

Disse Vaiśampāyana: «Penso que deves ser instruída sobre como lidar com este brâmane irascível. Pois, ó Pṛthā, ainda és uma jovem donzela e, além disso, és minha filha.»
