Shloka 12

“वह सदा आपकी सेवा-पूजाके लिये उपस्थित रहेगी। उसके द्वारा आपका अपमान कभी न होगा। मेरा विश्वास है कि उसके शील और सदाचारसे आप संतुष्ट होंगे” ।। एवमुक्‍त्वा तु तं विप्रमभिपूज्य यथाविधि । उवाच कन्यामभ्येत्य पृथां पूुथुललोचनाम्‌,ऐसा कहकर उन ब्राह्मणदेवताकी विधिपूर्वक पूजा करके राजाने अपनी विशाल नेत्रोंवाली कन्या पृथाके पास जाकर कहा--

“sā sadā āpākī sevā-pūjā ke liye upasthita rahegī; uske dvārā āp kā apamāna kabhī na hogā; mama viśvāsa hai ki uske śīla aura sadācāra se āp santuṣṭa hoṅge.” evam uktvā tu taṃ vipram abhipūjya yathāvidhi, uvāca kanyām abhyetya pṛthāṃ pṛthulalocanām—

“Ela estará sempre à disposição para te servir e honrar. Por meio dela, jamais sofrerás desrespeito. Estou confiante de que te agradarás de seu caráter e de sua boa conduta.” Tendo dito isso, o rei honrou devidamente aquele brâmane com os ritos apropriados; depois foi até sua filha Pṛthā, de olhos largos, e falou-lhe.
